Hello Lovely!
I am going to start a serious about Inner Beauty. As much as I love dressing up the outside (makeup, hair, fashion, etc.), the real beauty from one, comes from within. I believe that there are so many things that come into play when you think of beauty, this ranges anywhere between self-confidence, health, fitness, self esteem and so much more.
Today I am going to talk about something that always manages to make me feel better and currently i feel like this is the one thing that i am focusing on throughout the summer. And of coarse that is health and fitness!
Here's a little backround on my health and fitness, so that you know my fitness level and such:
I consider myself a semi-athletic person. I did dance from the ages of 3-11. I used to love it but I quit because it was getting less fun as time went on (thats my personal opinion).
When I was 8 I began martial arts, and as time has gone by it has become an even bigger part of life. I currently hold a red belt in mixed martial arts. I train quite often. I have class four times a week and I am also (luckily) a junior instructor, meaning I go a couple more days a week and i get to help the real instructors with the kids classes. Martial arts is my absolute passion and I plan to do it for years to come
When i was younger i used to swim a lot too. I consider myself pretty good at swimming. But as the years passes I don't enjoy it anymore. I want to get back into it, I have a swimming pool in my back yard so I have been trying to get into it!
Anyways! Lets start with my tips, motivation and fitness routine/ideas!!
1) My first tip is to find some friends to get fit with! Over the weekend one of my friends asked me if i wanted run with her! We went for our first run yesterday and are planning so many more! Having friends to work out with is such a great way to get motivated! We ran/walked 7k! We were very proud of ourselves!
2) Make a goal for yourself! Making a goal for yourself is a great way because it gives you something to work towards! Write this in a journal or somewhere you will see it and remember it! I write a sticky note and put it under my light switch so i always see it. Your goal could be as simple as going for a walk every night or every other night.
3) Find Inspiration and Motivation. You can find this anywhere and everywhere. I like to go on tumblr or pintrest and search up fitness quotes (I live for quotes). These really motivate me and I love adding pretty ones as my phone wallpaper, so that I am constantly looking at it and remembering. I also find it really helps if you prepare cute workout cloths the night before, so you don't have an excuse in the morning.
4) Find something that you love to do, and do it! Personally I love martial arts but that doesn't happen everyday, so I had to find other things to fill up the gaps. I found that I love going for walks with my dog, runs with my friends, running on an elipticle machine, and doing self workouts in my bedroom. You might love swimming, so go swimming! You might like biking, try biking to a new place every other day! There are loads of things you can do!
5) Watch some workout videos! There are TONS on youtube that you can get (for free) and they work wonders. I love
Blogilates I find her very motivating and cute. She has awesome videos and she constantly saying motivating things. Theres also people like
Tone it Up and
XFit. These are all awesome trainers who can give you awesome
Alright, those are some of my tips for fitness. I am going to do a short series of how to build your Self Esteem, I think that its one thing to look healthy, but its another thing to feel, be, and act healthy. I will have some tips on eating right next time!
